Ronja Hannesdottir - Daughter of Valkyries
Einher - Mercenary - Female
Story:
Blue Quill genealogists have traced the lineage of Queen Yjora Grendulsdottir of Mirgaard back to the fabled einhish warrior, Ronja Hannesdottir. Despite this direct tie in blood Yjora has yet to recognize these findings on an official capacity, perhaps in part due to the two figures’ contrary foundations of faith. Ronja was a staunch devotee to the einhish pantheon. Though she never became favoured by any she honoured all in acts performed across innumerable battlefields. Nearing the end of the Shadow War she fought alongside - but more often in front of - the armed forces of each civilization against the Undying Hordes. Mortals and gods, alike, would collapse around her yet her knees would bend only to defend them from an untimely end. It is from these acts of death defying valour that her name and being became immortalized in folklore as ‘Daughter of Valkyries’ or in short ‘Valkyrir’.
Death: Legend has it that Ronja was at last felled by an unknown Undying Lord, but not before she returned the favour.
Spirit Item Description: Ronja’s shield, was said, to have never even taken a dent from its use. Though upon each chronicling of the shield having shattered it is noted as having been able to repair itself swiftly with the help of its wielder. Arcanists look upon the tales of Ronja and suggest that the shield may very well have possessed magical properties that could block a large physical blow as well as reflect a spell that struck the shield back at its originator.
